While living together in a hostel and sleeping in dormatories heeding ones fellow team mates and contestants is of essens. We have to respect cultural differences and the personal preferences of everyone. We expect all of you to do this regardless of any rulus or regulations. However, there are a few that we will impose on you anyway to set a standard. Bed time at ten Some of us needs lots of sleep while others only sleep a few hours a night. After ten o'clock the dormatories are for sleeping, i.e. quiet and dark. If You want to go to bed late, prepare early so that you don't have to turn on the lights and go through your things to find your toothbrush. There are lots of other spaces in Östra real to hang out if you don't want to go to bed, just don't use the dorms. Gates close at midnight We all hope the weather gods will bring us warm summer nights for walks by the sea. If you do want to stay out later than midnight, you can. You will have to tell IOL-staff and your team leader in advance. We need to keep track of where people are in case something happens, we don't want missing teams in the morning. Smoking Smoking is not allowed on the premises, neither on the yard nor at the gates to the yard. This goes for everyone, whether you are contestant, staff, team leader or jury. If you need to smoke you have to walk at least ten meters away from the school yard, preferably to the other side of the street. Alcohol Alcohol is not allowed on the premises or the yard, nor any illegal drugs. We encourage contestants of legal drinking age to set an example for their younger fellows and stay sober. If you, however, have turned 18 and want to go out for a beer, it is your business as long as you don't show up intoxicated at Östra Real and remember to tell the staff if you will be back after midnight. Private showering There will be opportunities to book the locker room showers for 20 minutes at a time in the afternoons. Please respect this and don't use the showers if they are booked. |
