Östra Real - main contest site All contests in the International Olympics in Linguistics 2010 will take place at Östra Reals Vandrarhem - The Östra Real Hostel - in the very center of Stockholm. The hostel is a beautiful old red brick building full of majestic stairways and impressive murals. Participants will sleep in all-male or all-female rooms with between 6 and 8 beds. The shower rooms are locker room style, but have curtains around the individual showers. The in-house restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and there will be movie showings, plenty of board games and rooms for socializing, as well as free wi fi (bring your own laptop!), basket ball courts, video games and many more sources of entertainment. Those with double or single rooms will stay at Gärdet Hostel. The location on Gärdet is superb and a perfect starting point to experience the vast variety of restaurants, museums, theatre and shopping in Stockholm. The hostel is newly built and consists of two different sections, one with kitchenettes in the rooms. The large park area of Djurgården, home to Skansen, Gröna Lund and the Vasa Museum, is within walking distance and for those who feel like a swim the complex Kampementsbadet, with an outdoor pool, is just across the street. Djurgården - picnic and BBQ excursion on Wednesday On wednesday we will go on a walk to Djurgården and have a picnic.
